Kurz darauf wird sie von ihrer Göttin zu einem verletzten, geflügelten Mann geführt und erkennt in ihm einen der Fomorianer - die Feinde, zu deren Abwehr die Wachtburg einst erbaut wurde. Aine muss eine Entscheidung fällen, die das Leben aller in Partholon verändern wird.
