Description
The final part of this thesis describes two classroom trials which examine the feasibility of teaching the field concept at secondary level. Results of these trials, while not definitive, indicate that the field concept is a reasonable alternative to the electron-flow model and that it may assist in modifying alternative conceptions, particularly with girls. In conclusion, this study discusses the implications of these findings and makes recommendations for classroom practice and for further research. (Description from external book data)
